Went to the Edisto Banks with a friend on his "new to him" boat.
Had a offshore virgin with us also.
Double mahi hook-up before we got 4 lines in
Picked at the dolphin most of the day ... |

Left early Saturday morning to find a stacked/rough sea.
Beat our way out to the ledge. Caught 3 bonita, 1 BFT, 2 dolphin.
Lost a couple dolphin to pulled hooks and had two cutoffs. |

Fished and dove out of Charleston from 60' to 100'.
Caught a variety of bottom dwellers, Sheeps, Spades, Red porgy, BSB, and Grunts.
Caught some of the largest Grunts we have ever seen.

Most of the near-shore reefs are loaded with them right now.
We've seen them from 25feet to 60feet.
I heard someone say last week that they had better luck with shrimp instead of jelly-balls. |
