| Sat. morning started out @ 6:30 went to belky, and hooked up immediately with a nice fighting king (16lbs.). Within a half hour of being there the spanish showed up hitting top water in 6 separate locations about 600 yards apart. We started corralling and hooked up with a 4.5lb. spanish quick, but to be so many you really had to hit them in the head to get the bite. As the spanish are toying with us; the downrigger goes off with a big hit and a long first run thought i had the biggest king in the ocean after 30 mins of running and reeling we were able pick up and take pics with a 30lb. red drum. 1st time i have done that trolling for king. The water was calm and had a caribbean look in color light green and clear visibility... The only bad part was could only fish half day because of the gas prices! |
