|
The Veterans King Mackerel Fishing Tournament is to help bring attention to what our Active Duty and Veterans live with daily. We take freedom for granted but these people are the reason why we are lucky enough to live as we do. Some of our Veterans and Active Duty personnel need our help. I hope to obtain the media and public spotlight on the problems that many have and help get the means to correct them. All proceeds made during this fishing event will be divided equally between the different Morale Welfare Recreation groups and veterans charities. This tournament is open to the public. I am asking for at least a $50.00 per boat entry fee. We will award prizes in the King Mackerel, Spanish mackerel and Spot Tail Bass categories. I am also asking participating boats to think about taking an Active Duty or Veteran out on the water with them to fish. These boats will be competing for a plaque in any of the three categories.
This is my way of giving back a little something and to thank the Active Duty and Veterans for what they are doing and what they have done.
Regards
Todd Knight

I got this Email from Todd Knight today. I have been talking to him about the Kings for Vets Tournament in Charleston SC on June 19, 2010. As you all know I do what I can for our Military when it comes to fishing. They will be using the SouthCarolina-Offshore.com Forums to help promote the Tournament.
What I'm asking of you all is to see of your Fishing Club would donate a new rod and reel combo for King Mackerel Fishing to be auctioned off. Also if you have members that have a used King Mackerel rods and reels that they could use or donate to them. If you know of a business the would also like to donate one let me know or if you could pick up for me. Please let me know so we can get them down to Todd. SouthCarolina-Offshore.com will be give one Rod and Reel combo to be Auction off.
If any memeber from the want to donate a rod and reel King Mackerel combo post up and we will figure out how to get it pick up and down to Todd
Thanks
Capt Keith

Capt. Keith
Again thank you very much for your generosity in letting me put my tournament on your site. Per our discussion used rod and or reels will be given to the military personnel that fish on boats that have no spare outfits for them to use. At the end of the tournament if the military personnel so chose they will have the of option of keeping their rod and reels. If they chose to return them I will donate them to the recreation and wellness departments of the military to be used over and over again by our military. New outfits that are donated will be auctioned off at the captains meeting to raise more funds for my charities that I will be donating to. Any questions please call me Todd Knight 843-412-9993
My mission statement is this and what I hope to accomplish and have people aware of is.
