To catch Redfish now you have to go into Combat mode. With the water warming up you would think the bite would be great giving the number of fish still to be found in large schools. However, the fish are not sluggish at all and having been chased all winter by Dolphins, Ospreys, and fishermen the schools are very skittish. Low water is the toughest time to fish but you can catch fish you just have to have a good plan. When moving on the flat it helps to have some experience so you know where the schools are held up on the stage of the tide. When the school moves off you have to ease the boat in stealth mode and watch carefully stopping the boat if you notice the schools slowing their run from the area. Most school will try to sneak back to the area they left from and you can put baits out in front of them as they move back. Once a fish is hooked the school will leave again so unless you have tons of patience the fishermen will have to find another school. On high water if you can find the schools the fish are not as spooky but a hooked fish will scatter the school and again you must find another school. Weedless rigged Gulp Shrimp are the bait of choice on high water.
