If you want some fast action with some aggressive fish, try any of the near shore artificial reefs. Catch some Menhaden and use a light King rig and live bait for Spanish Mackerel, The Spanish are fairly large with 3 pounders not uncommon. As a side note, be prepared for the 3' Barracuda to charge your fish as you get the Spanish near the boat, have a helper with a glove on handline the fish when close and sling him in the boat quick. The Cobia bite has really slowed with only an occasional small fish being landed. The Spade fish are abundant over the structures at the reefs but as of now are feeding on the small clear jelly's and are finicky to bite.
On the inshore scene with the good Tailing tides plenty of Redfish have been willing to bite. Gold spoons like the Nemire Red Ripper will cause a big ruckus in the marsh. On the regular tides and around low tide mud minnows fished under a rattling cork has been producing some nice fish. Trout have been few and far between for us but we have scored with some nice Flounder on the mud minnows and Gulp Shrimp on a 1/4 ounce jig.
