The adult Red Drum have moved into the local rivers and sounds. Some fishing spots are less than a mile from the landing. If you fish out in Port Royal Sound it is also possible to hook a demon from the deep Tarpon. Fishing around the change of tide either high or low with live Menhaden or cut Mullet on the bottom, the big bruisers come calling. The big fish will be close for another 6 weeks depending on how fast the water temperature drops in October.

Here is one of today's fish. We also jumped 2 Tarpon. The short Big Red leaders helped the Tarpon throw the hooks I think. |
