South Carolina Fishing Reports - - inspection - Sounds good to me... one Saturday or Sunday afternoon would be good. I' sure we could find a big parking lot or field to do it in.

Many of Sea Coast Anglers members are active participants in the Power Squadron and promote boating safety for our members and the general public.

Several members are certified Vessel Examiners. These members provide cost free safety checks of boats. These checks include valuable infomation about boat safety equipment. Boats that fail the examination can be reexamined with in 24 hrs and only checked for the correction of failed items.

No information is passed to any organization with police powers. Our certificate clearly identifies that a boat has been examined and have passed the safety check.

DNR officers often will not check boats with certificates. If checked by DNR after being certified the boat owner is better prepared for passing any check made by law inforcement, as long as the boat is maintained as it was at the time of the inspection and no other violations are identified.

Our Club is committed to the practice of safe boating.
