FAMILY FLOUNDER TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Eligible Fish; Flounder caught by hook and line from a boat. No fish may be transported over land. A tournament official will be present to collect and tag fish at The Cherry Grove ramp from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM and transport them to the weigh in station at 5:00 PM.
2. There will be only one primary and/or secondary prize per boat
3. There will be only one (1) weigh in station for all registered anglers.
4. All fish must be brought to the weigh in station accompanied with registration tag and receipt if collected at Cherry Grove. No fish will be weighed without proper identification.
5. No cut, punctured or mutilated fish will be accepted.
6. The Committee reserves the right to dissect winning fish. All fish weighed will become the property of The SAA Family Flounder Tournament.
7. This is a NO CHECK OUT: HONOR SYSTEM Tournament. No lines in the water before 7:00 AM. Bait may be caught before 7:00 AM (cast net only).
8. Fishing is in the coastal waters from Lockwood Folly, North Carolina to 14th Ave. Pier in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina including ICW, tributaries, offshore and Cherry Grove.
9. No congregating during the tournament except for rendering aid to another boat. The Committee must be notified before hand via VHF channel 72 or by cell phone, the number to be announced at The Captains Meeting.
10. All flounder weighed in must be a minimum of 14 inches in length.
11. Youth anglers must be 15 years old or younger and must be accompanied by an adult angler 16 years or older who is listed on the registration form.
12. Tournament Fee is $50.00 per boat (early bird mail in registrations post marked before May 2nd are eligible for a special drawing prize at The Captains Meeting May 8th).
13. All weigh-ins by water only except for Cherry Grove where fish will be collected and brought to the weigh in station by Tournament Official as noted in RULE #1
14. Weigh-in is from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Harbourgate Marina, North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. All boats must be in line by 5:00PM GPS time including Cherry Grove. A Tournament Official will identify the last boat in line.
15. Boat numbers must be displayed at all times.
16. All Captains must attend The Captains meeting to receive their boat number and any rule changes that may occur. All tournament anglers are welcome.
17. All decisions by the rules committee are final

19. Every Lady Angler that weighs in a fish is eligible for a special prize.
20. All competing anglers must comply with local and state laws.
21. The Tournament Committee reserves the exclusive right to refuse any entry.
22. This Tournament is open to everyone with no restrictions to Seacoast Anglers Association Members, Sponsors, Donors, Committee Members and Family to Committee Members.
23. In case of a tie in the weight of fish the prize for the two places in question, i.e.1st and 2nd will be added together and split between them.
24. If for any reason The Committee cancels The Tournament. 100% of the registration fees collected will be refunded by mail within 7 days of cancellation.

The 2008 3rd Annual Family Flounder Tournament was a great success. The bad weather was like bookends to the beautiful weather we had for the Captain's meeting & the tournament. It poured before we started and poured after it was finished but the two days inbetween were perfect.
We had 83 boats entered and we weighed 42 fish. About 65% of the fish came from the creeks of Cherry Grove and the rest came from the estruaries and the ocean boundries.
