Finally a few days where the weather was just great. The water in the Broad river is still brackish and dirty, however, with the winds light we were able to spot the Redfish schooled up on the shell rakes on the incoming tide. The large Reds would not eat, with each cast near them they would blow off and move to parts unknown. But, the smaller fish were more cooperative and did not move too far and if you were persistent casting 1/4 ounce jigs tipped with a Gulp shrimp they would eat. As the tide rose into the edge of the grass I was expecting the bite to pick up but it did not. Tons of fish moving though the marsh grass covered oyster beds but the fish would not eat. After the tide started dropping some in areas that were more mud bottomed we did manage to hook several Redfish over 30'. Same bait but better results. Sorry no pictures this time but I hope to post some soon.
