Tournament Rules
1. Anglers, boats and teams must abide by all Federal, State and local safety rules .All entrants must meet all State Rules and Regulations.
2. All boats must be registered with the Tournament Committee and entry fee paid to qualify for purse. Any boat substituted prior to fishing day must be approved by tournament committee. Captains meeting to be held at Martinis Fine Dining Restaurant in NMB on April 12th, 2010 at 6PM Entrants will be responsible for rule changes if not present. Prime Rib dinner served for Captain and Guest.
3. A boat may fish 1 out of 9 possible days. Eligible fishing days are Saturday April 17th - Sunday April 25th . In order for a fish to qualify to be weighed, a team must have declared their fishing day by 7AM on the morning of that day. Declarations are made by calling 843-251-1134 and stating your boat name, your name and the day you are fishing, please leave your info on the machine if no one answer . If a boat does not declare properly, fish will not be eligible for weighing. A boat may participate under only one entry and a captain may be registered as captain once, however, any fisherman, whether captain or crew may fish on more than one boat as many days as he/she chooses.
4. A boat may only weigh one fish from each species. Eligible fish are WAHOO, MAHI and TUNA (Yellowfin or Blackfin) for each respective category.
5. Fish to be weighed at Harbor Gate Marina, in event of a tie, first fish weighed will determine the winner.
6. Maximum of One Species weighed per boat
7. Boundaries of tournament will be from SW Banks to Same Ole Hole
8. Lines in from 8AM-3PM. Weigh in from 4PM-7PM on day of declaration. Weigh station closes at 7 pm!
9. Fish must be weighed from the boat in which caught. No overland transport of fish. No congregation of boats during competition of declared day from 8AM to 7PM unless in the event of an emergency. Boats congregating must declare emergency on channel 16/72.
10. A boat may not make landfall on a declared fishing day during tournament competition hours before fish are weighed (8AM-4PM)
11. Tournament will monitor Channel 72, during fishing and weigh in, all boats should monitor tournament channel for instructions.
12. All protest made to tournament committee shall be accompanied by $500 cash. All protest shall be made no later than one hour after the last fish has been weighed on each weigh in day. $500 will be returned if protest is upheld by tournament committee. The $500 cash deposit will become property of the Martini's HOOK A HOO RODEO if the protest is not upheld. All decisions of the protest committee are final.
Tournament LIABILITY WAIVER
In consideration for the acceptance of t he entry fee, I, for myself, personal representatives, heirs and executors, release and forever discharge Martinis HOOK A HOO RODEO , all sponsors, contributors, participants, producers, their agents, representatives, successors and assigns of all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs, or expenses which I may have against them arising out of or in any way connected includes any claims based on negligence, action or inaction of any of the above-named parties. I hereby authorize the use of my name and/or likeness as well as that of all crew members, free of further consideration, for promotion and advertising purposes in any media form and reproduction, including, but not limited to radio, television, newspaper, brochure or video

The wahoo bite is just around the corner. Looking for some reports today, looks like some decent water just offshore the ledges. Hopefully theyll get on the slobs.
The "Hook a Hoo" is off to a great start with several early entries thus far. Lots of interest this year in the tourney. Should make for a great tourney. Come fish with some of the top Wahoo fisherman on the East Coast.

Martinis "HOOK A HOO" Rodeo set for April 17th-25th out of Little River SC. Save the dates and come join us! It promises to be another fantastic tourney. Last years winner TEAM HOOYAH brought an 88lber to the scales and walked away with $15,500 bucks.
The event is an all charitable tourney that benefits the Shrine Hospitals of the Carolinas. Last two years we have raised over $22,000 for the organization.
The format is BIG FISH but has Calcuttas for TUNA, MAHI and WAHOO. Fishing days to include April 17th-25th with a Captains Choice of which day they choose. One day of fishing per boat. This allows for smaller boats to be a part of the tourney and pick their fishing day.
The Captains meeting will be held at MARTINIS FINE DINING on the 12th of April in North Myrtle Beach and dinner will be served.
So far the new year has seen an awesome wahoo bite on the ledges off Little River with several 80-100lb fish being weighed between Wilmington and Charleston.
The main goal of this tourney is to bring the community and the fisherman to together to raise money for a great cause. REMEMBER......this is a 100% Charitable Tournamet. All proceeds raised are donated to the SHRINE HOSPITALS of the CAROLINAS.

ANY TEAM FISHING FROM A PORT OTHER THAN LITTLE RIVER THAT WEIGHS A FISH IN THIS TOURNAMENT AND NEEDS TO OVERNIGHT IN NORTH MYRTLE BEACH PRIOR TO THEIR RETURN TO THEIR HOME PORT WILL BE PROVIDED WITH LODGING THE NIGHT OF THEIR WEIGH IN. A LOCAL INDIVIDUAL HAS DONATED THE USE OF THEIR VACATION HOME DURING THE WEEK OF THE TOURNEY. TOURNAMENT WILL SEE THAT TEAM HAS TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM LODGING.

All proceeds raised from Tournament go to support the SHRINERS HOSPITALS of the CAROLINAS. Come enjoy a day on the water in search of GIANT WAHOO and raise cash to help the Children of the Shriners Hospitals. Pick 1 out of 9 days. This format allows for the SMALL BOATS to pick their days and fish with the BIG BOYS. A fun tournament knowing youre a part of an awesome cause.
